JoJo's Jokes

One of my favorite patrons is named JoJo. She is around 11 years old, and she is a budding comedian.

Her and her grandmother come in about once a week after school to enjoy our computers and search for books.

However, the first thing she always does is greet the librarians at the desk and share a joke. I found them so cute and funny that I wrote down the majority of the ones she shared with me.

Here are just a few of them:

“Why did the cantaloupe jump into the lake?”

“Because it wanted to be a watermelon!”

“What did the Atlantic ocean say to the Pacific ocean?”

“Nothing! It waved!”

“What building has the most stories?”

“The Library!”

“What is fast, loud and crunchy?”

“A rocket chip!”

“What has ears but cannot hear?”

“A cornfield!”

“What is brown, hairy and wears sunglasses?”

“A coconut on vacation!”

“Why did the kid cross the playground?”

“To get to the other slide!”

“What is a witch’s favorite subject in school?”

“Spelling!”

“Why is 6 afraid of 7?”

“Because 7, 8, 9!”

JoJo’s jokes are special to me. They show the relationship I share with her and her grandmother. Being a public librarian, you get to enjoy these unique relationships with patrons.

Feel free to share these jokes with your family, child, or classroom! JoJo’s Jokes are meant to bring smiles to faces and laughter in a room.
